The Professional Foundation is the digital foundation account from bcause, based on the Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) model. It combines flexible funding with a double impact: contributed capital can be granted immediately or gradually, while the balance is invested sustainably until payout, doing good even before the funding occurs.

Immediate actionability
While establishing a traditional foundation takes months and incurs high costs, the Professional Foundation is digitally ready to use in just a few minutes. We handle the entire administration and legal protection as part of our non-profit trust foundation. The charitable use of the contributed funds is managed independently via the platform.
Minimum deposit
No capital tie-up
Unlike a traditional foundation, we do not require a minimum deposit. You are completely free to decide on the amount and timing of your contributions, without permanently locking up assets in rigid structures. At the same time, your Professional Foundation offers you the full creative power of a foundation.

Acting independently of time
The donation process on bcause is twofold: the initial payment into the foundation account is already a donation to the non-profit bcause Treuhandstiftung, for which we issue a donation receipt. Following this, funding decisions can be made at your own pace. In this way, funds can be built up strategically and deployed at a time of your choosing.

Fixed interest rate
The monthly fixed interest rate on credit as long as it remains in the foundation account. The interest increases the balance, meaning that after some time, more money can be passed on than was originally deposited.

Investment in a multi-asset portfolio
bcause impact enables participation in the Impact Multi-Asset Portfolio of the bcause Treuhandstiftung. Funds can be actively contributed to a diversified portfolio that combines financial return and social impact – with moderate risk. The goal is a net return of around 4% p.a. for participating foundation accounts.

The opportunity to invest credit directly into selected social startups or specialized impact funds. This form of participation makes it possible to build a customized investment portfolio that aligns with your personal mission.
